From its founding in 2024 to today, the publishing house reflects on growth, lessons learned, and what comes next
Princeton, New Jersey, United States, 27th Aug 2026 — Sinclair Publishers is officially celebrating two years since its founding in late 2024, using the milestone to showcase rapid growth, operational updates, and key strategic goals for the coming years.

Founded in 2024 by publishing veterans seeking to break traditional industry bottlenecks, Sinclair set out to give overlooked authors a transparent, author-first home outside the traditional legacy system. In the two years since, the house has successfully published over 45 titles across memoir, self-help, and fiction, collaborating with voices ranging from debut novelists to seasoned corporate consultants.
“When we started this company, we had a small list of books and a big list of ideas about what we wanted publishing to look like,” said Julia McCarthy, Managing Editor at Sinclair Publishers. “Two years in, a lot of those ideas have actually held up. Some have changed completely. That’s been the most interesting part, staying willing to evolve without losing what made us want to start this in the first place.”
Over the past 24 months, Sinclair has dramatically expanded its infrastructure, growing its dedicated team from 4 initial founders to 18 full-time publishing professionals. The house also launched a high-growth business imprint and established direct global distribution networks in North America and Europe.
“Reaching this anniversary proves that an author-centric model isn’t just nice in theory, it’s highly viable in practice,” said Adam Harris, Senior Publishing Consultant at Sinclair Publishers. “Sinclair’s commitment to author equity and strategic marketing has redefined what an independent press can accomplish.”
Looking ahead to 2027 and beyond, Sinclair Publishers announced key initiatives, including the launch of a fellowship program for unrepresented writers, expanded audio-first publishing models, and an extended footprint in narrative nonfiction.
